What if the person I am giving this to has food allergies?

Our Gourmet Berries are made in a commercial kitchen that creates many other types of foods. All of these foods are produced on shared equipment.  For this reason, it is not a food allergen free facility.  Though our products are kept separately, there is a possibility for trace amounts of tree nuts, wheat, soy, milk, eggs, peanuts, and other food allergen contamination, due to products being made, stored, and packaged near or around other products containing these allergens.

Due to these reasons, we DO NOT recommend individuals who have food allergies to consume our products. 

How will my order be packaged?

Each order will be package in 8"x 8"x 2" kraft window bakery box (1/2 dozen roses and Roseberries are packaged in smaller boxes).  You can view a photo of the product packaging for each variety on the ordering pages.  We now offer Mini Cups for a $3 fee.  This means that you can have your order divided into small domed cups.  This are also shown and listed on the ordering page for most varieties.

How long will the fruit last?

This is a question we receive often and it is difficult to answer.  We recommend that the product is eaten the same day you receive it.  However, it will last for several days after it has been delivered.  As you know, berries spoil quickly, so eat them sooner rather than later to ensure you are enjoying the freshest quality!

How to store my chocolate covered fruit?

If you will not be eating all of your fruit the day of delivery, we suggest that you place the fruit in a nonporous container and line the bottom with paper towels.  This will absorb the liquid that will come out of the fruit.  Store the container in the fridge.

Why is there liquid coming out of my fruit?

Our products are made with fresh ripe fruit.  This means they are very juicy!  It is normal to have some liquid come out of the fruit.  You may also notice condensation on the fruit if you take them out of the fridge.  This is also normal, especially when it is more humid that normal.  Any time you take a cold item out of the fridge and bring it into a warmer, more humid environment, you will end up with some condensation.

What Happens if the person is not home at the time of delivery?

Please keep in mind that our boxes, as described above, are NOT insulated.  This keeps the cost for our customers very minimal and even free.  Due to this, you need to make sure someone will be available to receive the package.  If the person is not home, and you do not leave instructions, the delivery driver will leave the package in the safest place they can find, take a photo of where it was left, then we will notify you.  If you need an order delivered at a time more specific than our offered delivery windows, please call us to see if we are able to accommodate that request.

How many strawberries are included in each box?

Each box includes a minimum of 12 chocolate covered strawberries and a weight of at least 1.5 lb +.  Since strawberries vary in size, we make sure that each box is filled to compacity.  This means that you may receive more than 12 strawberries in each box.

Can I order less than a dozen?

Unfortunately, we do not fill orders less than a dozen.  This is because there would be wasted produce.  We are not able to purchase less than one dozen strawberries at a time from our supplier.  Since all berries spoil quickly, some food would be wasted.  We do not believe in wasting good food, so this is why we require a minimum of one dozen strawberries for each order.

Can you deliver to a business?

Yes, absolutely! As long as you are located in the Greater Dayton area!

Do you deliver on Holidays?

We do not deliver on most major holidays.  We want our employees to enjoy the holidays with their families too!  If you would like an order for a holiday, place an order to be delivered the day before so you can still enjoy chocolate covered strawberries for the holiday!


 Is there an additional charge for orders delivered on the weekend?

Yes, there is an additional $5 charge unless you order $50 or more!


Why are some areas free to deliver to and other are $5?

We have delivery zones.  Areas 10-15 miles away from the store have NO delivery fee and areas greater than 15 miles have a $5 delivery fee.  We try to minimize the delivery costs for our customers as much as possible, while still offering convenient local deliveries!

How far in advance should I place my order?

The sooner the better!  The days fill up quickly so do not wait!  Please remember you must place your order at least 24 hours in advance!
